Marcus Lund was born is Lisbon, Portugal back in 1976. From an early age has been painting and drawing. “My soul purpose in life has been my art. I have continued to expand my art education for the last 20 years involving everything from primitive painting and tattooing to modern glass blowing. I have been lucky to have apprenticed under two great masters; For painting I work with Jef Deils (Belgium), one of Europe’s Great still life painters, and Tattooing under Paris of Cyprus. Both men have given me a strong foundation in my art and style. Tattooing has its strongest hold on me at the moment staying in the realm of Traditional Tribal, Japanese and realism. I predominately work in the tribal styles of Polynesian, Maori and Borneo (Iban). In Painting, I work in 17th century Still Life following the Dutch School. All of my work is from life and is painted in oil on panel”.
